Terms of Service

Effective Date: January 1, 2026

Welcome to Jewish Storytelling ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, services, tours, and related offerings (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Use of Services

You agree to use our Services only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else's use and enjoyment of the Services.

You must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to use our Services.

2. Bookings and Payments

All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation, and prices may change prior to booking confirmation. Payment terms, including any required deposit or full payment, will be specified at the time of booking. Bookings are only confirmed upon receipt of payment.

3. Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to refuse service to any individual at our discretion.

4. Cancellations and Refunds

All bookings are generally non-refundable once confirmed.

In exceptional circumstances, a refund may be considered at the sole discretion of Jewish Storytelling. Any such decision will be made on a case-by-case basis and is not guaranteed.

If we cancel a tour or experience for any reason, you will be offered either a full refund or the option to reschedule.

5. Changes to Tours and Services

We reserve the right to modify itineraries, routes, guides, or content due to weather, safety concerns, or other unforeseen circumstances.

We will make reasonable efforts to provide comparable alternatives where possible.

6. Weather Policy (Rain or Shine)

Tours and experiences are conducted rain or shine. Participants are responsible for preparing appropriately for weather conditions, including suitable clothing and footwear.

In cases of severe or unsafe weather, Jewish Storytelling reserves the right to modify, delay, or cancel a tour at its discretion. If a tour is cancelled due to such conditions, participants will be offered either a full refund or the option to reschedule.

7. Late Arrival / No-Show Policy

Participants are responsible for arriving on time. Late arrivals or failure to attend a scheduled tour or session may be treated as a no-show and are not eligible for a refund.

8. Assumption of Risk

Participation in tours and experiences may involve certain risks, including travel-related risks, walking on uneven terrain, and exposure to weather conditions.

By participating, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

9. Travel Responsibility Disclaimer

Participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements (unless explicitly provided by Jewish Storytelling), visas, insurance, and compliance with local laws.

10. Health & Fitness / Participant Responsibility / Accessibility Disclaimer

Participants are responsible for ensuring that they are physically able to participate in tours and experiences.  You agree to inform us in advance of any medical conditions, mobility limitations, or other factors that may affect your participation.

We cannot guarantee that all locations are accessible to individuals with mobility limitations.

11. Travel Insurance Recommendation

We strongly recommend that participants obtain comprehensive travel insurance.

12. Third-Party Services Disclaimer

Certain aspects of our Services, including tours and experiences, may involve third-party providers such as local guides, transportation services, accommodations, or venues. These providers operate independently and are not agents, employees, or partners of Jewish Storytelling.

While we make reasonable efforts to select reputable providers, we do not control and are not responsible for the acts, omissions, performance, or policies of any third-party providers. Any issues arising from third-party services should be addressed directly with the relevant provider.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jewish Storytelling shall not be liable for any loss, injury, delay, or inconvenience arising from the use of third-party services.

13. Photography & Media Consent

By participating in our tours or events, you consent to the possibility of being photographed or recorded. Such materials may be used for promotional or educational purposes unless you notify us in advance that you do not wish to be included.

14. Intellectual Property

All content provided through our Services, including text, images, branding, and tour materials, is the property of Jewish Storytelling or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or exploit any content without prior written permission.

15. Online Courses & Digital Content

Access to online courses and digital materials is granted for personal, non-commercial use only. You may not share, reproduce, distribute, or publicly display course content without prior written permission.

16. Session Recording

Online courses, lectures, or live sessions may be recorded for educational, archival, or quality purposes. By participating in such sessions, you acknowledge and consent to the possibility that your participation (including audio, video, or written contributions) may be recorded.

Where recordings are made available to participants, access is granted for personal, non-commercial use only and may not be shared, distributed, or reproduced without prior written permission.

If you prefer not to be recorded, you may choose to disable your camera and/or refrain from participating verbally during recorded sessions.

17. Technical Requirements

Participants are responsible for ensuring they have access to a reliable internet connection, compatible device, and any required software necessary to access online courses, lectures, or digital content. Jewish Storytelling is not responsible for any inability to access Services due to a participant’s personal technical issues, including, but not limited to, internet connectivity, hardware limitations, or software compatibility.

In the event of technical issues on our end that significantly disrupt or prevent the delivery of a scheduled course, lecture, or digital experience, we will make reasonable efforts to provide an alternative solution. This may include rescheduling the session, providing access to a recording, or offering a full or partial refund, at our discretion.

18. No Guarantee of Outcomes

Jewish Storytelling strives to provide engaging, thoughtful, and high-quality educational experiences. However, we do not guarantee any specific outcomes, results, or personal interpretations arising from participation in our courses, lectures, or tours.

Learning experiences may vary depending on individual background, expectations, and level of engagement. Participants are responsible for their own learning, interpretation, and application of the material presented.

19. User Conduct

You agree not to:

- Engage in disruptive, abusive, or harmful behavior during tours or interactions

- Violate any applicable laws or regulations

- Interfere with the operation of the Services

We reserve the right to remove participants from a tour, course, or lecture without refund if their behavior is deemed inappropriate.

20. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jewish Storytelling shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of or related to your use of the Services.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the relevant Service.

21. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jewish Storytelling from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the Services or your violation of these Terms.

22. Privacy

24. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays, changes, or cancellations caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, political instability, government restrictions, or transportation disruptions.

25. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.

26. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
